What is texture/sandcote?
Cam’s Rendering uses ROCKCOTES 100% full acrylic flexible coating applied over acrylic modified basecoat that has tremendous flexibility.
It helps to minimise maintenance due to being a coloured system (no painter required).
ROCKCOTE’s commitment to quality means we use a 100% pure acrylic binding agent in our coloured renders, textures and paints.
Many products on the market claim to be 100% acrylic binders but most actually include modified acrylic binders or polymers such as vinyl or styrene.
Products made with pure rather than modified acrylics provide improved durability, colour retention and UV resistance over a longer period of time.
They also offer high resistance to chemical attack and better protection from Australia’s harsh weather conditions.
For better durability and performance, always ask for 100% pure acrylic.
When colour is added to texture is it on an even finish?
As we use ROCKOTE’s high performance finishes, they are available in a vast range of colours.
The advantage of coloured render is the depth of colour permeates the entire render layer maintaining a rich, full colour.
ROCKCOTE Coloured Renders offer a tough, flexible and water resistant finish with long-term exterior protection, designed for Australian conditions.
With the inclusion of powerful mould and fungus inhibitors and up to 20 times thicker than a standard paint, ROCKCOTE
Coloured Renders deliver a distinctive and durable finish without the need for painting.
Can I choose any colour for my house?
Yes, Rockcote coloured renders are available to be tinted to any/all colours from any major coating supplier.
My house has been rendered, there are cracks and white stuff coming through the paint, can this be fixed?
The best protection against cracking requires both thickness and flexibility.
ROCKCOTE High Performance Membranes are formulated for both thickness and flexibility and as a result deliver outstanding crack-bridging capability.
Unsuitable paints will break down and result in hairline cracks. ROCKCOTE Armour seals, protects and bridges hairline cracks.
Efflorescence can be cleaned – use of ROCKCOTE Anti Efflorescent Primer will provide an effective barrier coat against efflorescence.
It has excellent adhesion and will provide a slip resistant finish for easy application of subsequent trowel applied coatings.
